Parish Planning

The parish planning office commits itself to collaborating with pastors and parishioners to identify the demographic and societal changes occurring throughout the archdiocese. The office works with pastors to coordinate ministries to best serve the needs of local communities, while at the same time respecting the history of our parishes.

ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW YORK

GOALS OF MAKING ALL THINGS NEW

  1. To enhance the vibrancy of parish life in the Archdiocese of New York.
  2. To strengthen the presence and ministry of the Church in the urban, suburban and rural areas of the archdiocese.
  3. To foster an appreciation for and participation in Sunday Eucharist.
  4. To promote New Evangelization efforts throughout the archdiocese.
  5. To implement parish planning within the archdiocese considering the needs of the people, the projected number of priests available to serve, financial resources, and changing demographics.
  6. To ensure that all parishioners have opportunities for quality lifelong Christian education and formation.
  7. To strengthen service to those who are most in need.
  8. To promote vocations to priesthood, religious life, the diaconate, and lay ministry.
  9. To support new initiatives for youth, young adults, families, and seniors.
  10. To build a greater sense of unity among Catholics from all cultures within the local Church.
  11. To increase collaboration among all entities in the local, national, and universal Church.

ARQUIDIÓCESIS DE NUEVA YORK

METAS DE HACIENDO NUEVAS TODAS LAS COSAS

  1. Mejorar la vitalidad de la vida parroquial en la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York
  2. Fortalecer la presencia y el ministerio de la Iglesia en las áreas urbanos, suburbanos y rurales de la arquidiócesis.
  3. Fomentar una apreciación para y participación en la Eucaristía Dominical.
  4. Promover los esfuerzos de la nueva evangelización en toda la arquidiócesis.
  5. Implementar planificación parroquial dentro de la arquidiócesis, tomando en cuenta las necesidades del pueblo, el número de sacerdotes disponibles para servir, los recursos financieros, y los cambios en la demografía de la arquidiócesis.
  6. Asegurar que todos los feligreses tengan oportunidades para educación y formación Cristiana a través de toda la vida.
  7. Fortalecer el servicio a los más necesitados.
  8. Promover las vocaciones al sacerdocio y la vida religiosa, la diaconía y el ministerio laical.
  9. Apoyar nuevas iniciativas de jóvenes y joven adultos, familias y personas mayores.
  10. Formar un sentido mayor de unidad entre católicos de todas las culturas dentro de la Arquidiócesis.
  11. Aumentar la colaboración entre todas las entidades en la Iglesia local, nacional y universal.
