Church of Saint Augustine, New City – Part-time Music Director and Organist. Position requires knowledge of Catholic liturgy, proficiency in organ and piano, and vocal and directing skills. Responsibilities: plan, assist, provide music for weekend, Holy Days, funerals, weddings and seasonal liturgies; recruit, rehearse, and schedule choir, cantors, instrumental musicians. Immaculate Conception Church in Irvington is in immediate need of an Organist/Choir Director for Saturday evening/2 Sunday and 3 Holy Day liturgies, Funerals and Weddings. We have a very close choir that enhances the 10:00am Mass every Sunday from September to June. Rehearsals have traditionally been on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm-8:30pm. We are looking for a creative spirit that can inspire our parishioners to praise our God through a celebration of the rich musical catalog of our Catholic Tradition.
