RISE AGAINST HUNGER
RISE AGAINST HUNGER is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. High School youth will participate with the #ItStartsWithaMeal packing project we will be joining hands to lend a hand to make shelf-stable, high-nutrition meals. They may look like simple bags of rice and soy, but Rise Against Hunger meals make a real difference for the 720+ million people who experience hunger on a daily basis. Meals will be assembled, boxed, and then sent off to locations targeted by the Global Hunger Index as in “serious” or higher need. Meals are distributed to children and young people in schools, provided to local communities with a lack of access to food, and are deployed for emergencies in protracted crises and sudden onset disasters.

WORLD MISSION ROSARY
WORLD MISSION ROSARY, a mission of the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA). The MCA’s motto is “children helping children”, the aim is helping young people around the world to see, know, and love Jesus and one another. Middle School youth will participate in making, and praying a World Mission Rosary, in which each of the five decades is a different color to represent the continents. These rosaries will then be given out globally by missionaries as they share the Good News of Jesus. Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen who created the World Mission Rosary would say, “when you had finished praying the World Mission Rosary, you have given the world a “great big hug!”
