We have three reasons why our family is going back to Mass. First, as individuals we need to be at Mass to receive the grace and peace that comes from being in, and receiving, the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Second, we need to be at Mass as a married couple so that our relationship is nurtured and strengthened by the wisdom that comes from the reading/hearing of the scriptures, and the insight we receive from our priest’s homily. Finally, we as parents need to be at Mass so our children are connected to the love of Jesus, and that they hear in God’s words that they are made in the image and likeness of God, and that God’s loves them unconditionally. Our family needs to be back at Mass so we are all strengthened by the Word of God, and spiritually nourished by the Body and Blood of Jesus. Being present at the Mass helps us know the path to salvation, and insures that we can pass the faith onto our children, and they onto their children.
