Cardinal Dolan sends Lenten messages to the Hispanic community in New York via The Good Newsroom

New York, February 12, 2024 – With the intention of having direct communication with the Hispanic community in New York, Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will publish a series of video messages in Spanish during Lent, one of the most important times of the year for Catholics, through The Good Newsroom™.

Cardinal Dolan has supported a Hispanic ministry in the archdiocese since he arrived fifteen years ago. “With nearly one million Latinos in our area, our Hispanic brothers and sisters are not just part of the Catholic Church in New York, they are the Church here. We especially welcome the newcomers to our parishes, just as we welcomed other newcomers in generations past.”

The Good Newsroom, the Archdiocese of New York’s digital news platform, designed to evangelize and engage audiences daily, will publish Cardinal Dolan’s messages across all of its platforms on Ash Wednesday, the First Sunday of Lent, and the Second Sunday of Lent.

These videos aim not only to achieve direct communication between Cardinal Dolan and Hispanics in New York, but also adds to the content of videos and articles in Spanish that The Good Newsroom™ publishes through its website, social media channels, app, and e-newsletter.
