The Department of Youth Faith Formation supports scouting programs for youth. Catholic Scouting is a ministry focused on enriching the faith formation of the young people across the archdiocese. Catholic Scouting is dedicated to promoting “Duty to God” at each level of scouting.

We support and promote Catholic Scouting through leadership development, counselor training sessions, retreats, recognition ceremonies and Scout Sunday events. Many dedicated leaders donate their time and energy to providing a quality program for Catholic Scouting.

Join us for the 2024 Catholic Scout Retreat! Open to Scouts BSA, Girl Scouts, and American Heritage Girls, this day is packed with faith, fellowship, and fun. Enjoy community-building activities, attend Mass, receive the Sacrament of Confession, and participate in a meaningful service project. Scouts of all levels can join workshops and exciting activities, while adults can take part in an optional Emblem Counselor Training. Don’t miss this chance to grow in faith and scouting spirit!

- Bring a bag lunch
- Permission forms required (download waiver)
- Bring a box (shoe-box size) of personal hygiene products such as toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc. to give to Catholic Charities.
