PARISH OF IMMACULATE CONCEPTION/ASSUMPTION OF OUR LADY (TUCKAHOE)
The sister churches of Immaculate Conception and Assumption of Our Lady in Tuckahoe seek a male leader of song. The primary location of service will be at Assumption of Our Lady Church, located at 100 Pleasant Ave, in Tuckahoe. Mass schedule: 4:00 pm on Saturday and 9:00 am on Sunday, including funerals, weddings, and Holy Days.
The successful candidate will also serve as a bass/tenor section leader in the choir at Immaculate Conception Church, located at 53 Winterhill Road, in Tuckahoe. Additionally, the candidate will be asked to fill in as a song leader on rotation at that location. Times of service at Immaculate Conception: TBD.
Compensation rate is $120.00 per mass. For funerals and weddings, the rate is $200.00. $60.00 per rehearsal (when necessary).

PARISH OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT (NEW ROCHELLE)
The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, a historic and multi-ethnic parish of the Archdiocese of New York, is seeking a full-time Director of Sacred Music to foster a music program deeply rooted in the Roman Catholic liturgical tradition while serving the diverse cultural heritage of our parish community. The Director will oversee all aspects of parish music, forming choirs, leading congregational singing, and ensuring that the sacred rites are celebrated with reverence and beauty.
Responsibilities
• Play the organ at all weekend Masses (anticipated Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses; final schedule TBD).
• Serve as cantor when necessary.
• Direct the parish choir (semi-professional, September–June) at the principal Sunday Mass.
• Re-establish and direct a children’s choir to sing periodically at Sunday liturgies.
• Train, schedule, and support cantors.
• Develop and lead a schola cantorum to chant the Propers and Ordinaries on solemn occasions.
• Select all liturgical music for Sundays, solemnities, and parish feasts, drawing from the treasury of Catholic sacred music (Gregorian chant, hymnody, polyphony, spirituals, and sacred repertoire from the global Catholic tradition).
• Recruit and train musicians from within the parish’s diverse community.
• Oversee care and maintenance of the parish organ.
• Maintain and expand the parish’s music library.
Major Liturgical Duties
• Christmas (Christmas Eve, Midnight Mass, Christmas Day).
• Sacred Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, Easter Sunday).
• Holy Days of Obligation (Solemnity of Mary, Ascension, Assumption, All Saints, Immaculate Conception).
• Sacramental Liturgies (Confirmations, First Communions, Special liturgies as scheduled).
Stipends: Funerals and weddings provide additional compensation per parish policy.
Qualifications (Preferred)
• Degree in Organ, Sacred Music, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in organ playing and choral conducting.
• Understanding of the Church’s vision for sacred music as expressed in Sacrosanctum Concilium, Musicam Sacram, and the writings of recent popes.
• Commitment to Gregorian chant, polyphony, and the worthy hymn tradition of the Church.
• Ability to engage and serve a multi-ethnic, multicultural parish community through inclusive and pastorally sensitive music leadership.
• Strong leadership skills to rebuild choirs, form new ensembles, and foster congregational participation.
• Excellent collaboration with clergy, staff, and parishioners.
Compensation
• Salary: $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with education and experience.
• Paid Time Off: Three weeks (including three weekends).

SAINT JOSEPH AND SAINT MARY IMMACULATE (STATEN ISLAND, NY)
Saint Joseph & Saint Mary Immaculate Parish, in the Clifton neighborhood of Staten Island, is a vibrant and dynamic parish in the Archdiocese of New York, having a total weekly attendance approaching 1000. We seek to incorporate beauty, focus, and reverence to our liturgies. We are presently accepting applications for the position of full-time Organist and Music Director.
Responsibilities
Play the organ for six weekend liturgies (Saturday 5 pm and 6:30 pm; Sunday 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, and 1:30 pm) Direct an all-volunteer choir at the Sunday 10 am Spanish Mass
Direct a semi-professional SATB choir at Sunday 12 noon English Mass (September-June, with weekday evening rehearsal)
Abilities and Qualifications
Minimum B.M./B.A. in music, or equivalent
Ability to play organ proficiently
Ability to plan and direct choir program effectively (choral conducting)
Ability to handle Spanish liturgy as well as English liturgy (bilingual ability a plus)
Encourage and support involvement of volunteer singers and instrumentalists, as appropriate to liturgy
Ability to read, teach, and lead Latin chant
Oversee the care and maintenance of the church instruments (pipe organ and grand piano)
Maintain and expand parish music library
Use Church documents as a basis for music planning and selection
Primary Liturgical Duties
Plan the music and schedule cantors for weekend Masses
Holy Days of Obligation (up to five calendar days per year, as indicated by the Archdiocese)

Saint Catharine of Alexandria, a dynamic multi-generational parish of the Archdiocese of New York with approximately 2,400 registered families, located 20 miles north of New York City in Rockland County, is seeking a full-time Parish Liturgy and Music Director. The Director will foster a parish music program that inspires prayer, deepens scriptural reflection, and enables the community’s full participation in the sacred liturgy.
Responsibilities
- Play the organ and provide music for all Sunday Masses and Holy Days; serve as cantor when necessary.
- Direct, grow, and develop the parish choir.
- Establish, grow, and develop a children’s choir and music program.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support cantors.
