  • Fides Entrepreneurship Dinner with James Fishback

Fides Entrepreneurship Dinner with James Fishback

Join us for our monthly Catholic Entrepreneurship Talks where entrepreneurs share how their faith inspired them to start their own business and helped them overcome challenges.

On Tuesday October 21st at 18:45, we’re excited to host James T. Fishback, Founder & CEO of Azoria, an independent investment firm as well as Founder of Incubate Debate, a debate league.

His work has earned recognition across the spectrum from people such as Cathie Wood of ARK Invest.

James is a rare voice, having launched Azoria not only as an independent investment firm, most recently through its 500 Meritocracy Fund, but also as a direct response to his own experience of being ridiculed on at a previous hedge fund on Wall Street for praying before meals.

“We do daily mass for our staff. Some of our staff who aren’t even catholic join us. Not only that but by donating 5% of my personal profits from the fund to support new Pro-life pregnancy centers shows how we put our faith first at Azoria”

    James will share:

    • How faith grounds his work in both finance and culture

    • How to start your own investment firm

    • How to stand against the status quo amidst what the financial world dictate

    • How to help others live their faith more fully in business and investing

Church of the Epiphany 375 2nd Ave, New York, NY, United States

Alpha Course at Church of the Epiphany

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that allow you to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share your point of view in a safe and friendly environment.
    Sessions include:

Is there more to life than this?
Who is Jesus? Why did he die?
    How can we have faith?
Why and how do I read the bible?
    What about the church?
    How does it work?

Each session includes food, a short video and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure and no charge.

The course runs for 12 weeks. And there is a wonderful 24 hour offsite retreat that involves a hike, a Mass, delicious dinners, and the visit of the Holy Spirit! Come to the first one and see if it’s for you.

This is a great place to invite a friend who may be curious about your Catholic faith. The Alpha course has proven to be an effective tool for awakening faith in people who are on the fringe of parish life, faithful Catholics and those outside the faith.
