    Concerts at Our Saviour Presents: Noa Even & Buck McDaniel

    Longtime collaborators Noa Even (saxophone) and Buck McDaniel (composer/organ) reunite in New York City for an evening of dynamic contemporary music. The program features works by McDaniel, including the world premiere of his new cycle Double Trumpet, alongside pieces by Nico Muhly, Augusta Read Thomas, and more.

    Even and McDaniel’s previous collaborations have been featured in The New York Times and Time Out New York, and can be heard on their studio EP Patterns on Dufy, created in partnership with producer Jacob Kirkwood.

    A Conn-Selmer Artist, Noa Even is based in Philadelphia and serves as Head of Woodwinds at Rowan University, while maintaining an active international touring schedule. Buck McDaniel, Artist-in-Residence at The General Theological Seminary and Director of Music at the Parish of Our Saviour and Sacred Hearts, has been featured as both composer and conductor on BBC Radio 3, NBC’s Saturday Night Live, and NPR’s The Moth Radio Hour.

    This reflective journey along the Bronx River is organized by Fordham alums Olivia Griffin and Amelia Medved in partnership with Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice (YMPJ), including community development specialist Reece Brosco, and will include stops along the river for readings, reflections and performances. Whether you’re looking for spiritual connection, an insight into the river’s layered ecological and human history, or simply to experience a new NYC landscape, we welcome you to join us!
