    In this Jubilee Year, Lent is a wonderful opportunity to renew and deepen our walk with God as “Pilgrims of Hope”. Spend a day of reflection on how this special season can enable you to respond to God’s invitation to live more fully in Christ. Presented by Sr. Philomena Fleck, OSB

    Retreatants have the option of staying Friday night at the monastery if needed for an additional cost. The retreat will be preached on Saturday only. Please contact center@bensisnj.org to reserve a room as needed.

    S/C Westchester & Rockland Youth Ministry “Upper Room” Gathering

    The “Upper Room” gatherings are quarterly meetings for youth ministry coordinators across each region, inspired by Acts 2:42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Just as the early disciples gathered in community, these sessions bring coordinators together to deepen our faith, share insights, and strengthen our ministry. Each gathering serves as a place for support, formation, and collaboration, allowing us to grow spiritually while addressing youth ministry’s unique challenges and opportunities. Through shared learning and prayer, we cultivate a network of encouragement and resources to serve the young people in our care. Whether discussing best practices or simply listening to one another, the “Upper Room” gatherings are a vital space where our collective wisdom and faith unite to enrich and inspire our work.     Mystagogy: Biblical Conversations With God: As a Person Speaks to A Friend

    This fall’s Mystagogy series will consider some of the numerous dialogues God had with His people in the Scriptures. From Adam and Eve to Moses and the Prophets, to the Gospels, where practically every interaction is a conversation with God, the Word made flesh. Guided by Fr. Francis, these interactions will lead us to ponder the meaning of prayer, a right understanding of God and ourselves, the history of salvation, and key themes of Biblical interpretation.

    This group meets on Tuesdays at 6:45 in the Lower Church at St. Vincent’s. The topic on December 3rd is “The Call and Response of the First Disciples (John 1:35-51).”

    During our Wednesday Holy Hour Reflections beginning in Advent, we are continuing our three part series of reflections on the Sacred Heart of Jesus (2022-2023), Immaculate Heart of Mary (2023-2024), and the Chaste Heart of Joseph (2024-2025) in the various infancy mysteries. The Holy Hour will begin at 6:30 PM, immediately following the Wednesday 6 PM Daily Mass.

    This year, we will reflect on the Chaste Heart of Joseph during:

    • the Journey to Bethlehem (12/18)
