    Celebrant: Father Michael Barry – This charismatic priest is best known for his healing ministries, especially through Retreats, Healing Masses, Healing The Family Tree, and Spiritual Direction. He feels a special call to the inner healing of the person. Fr. Barry was born and raised in Cork, Ireland. He graduated from the Catholic University of America and was ordained on June 14, 1964, as a member of the congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. A priest for 46 years, Fr. Michael Barry has served as the provincial for his congregation’s western province in the USA, at which time he was granted the Pro Pontifice et Ecclesia Award by Pope John Paul II. Fr. Barry came to the United States and taught at schools and worked tirelessly for the poor. He is the former director of the San Bernardino Diocese Evangelization Ministries. Fr. Barry is a founder of “Mary’s Table,” a ministry that feeds the poor and homeless. He also opened a home for single and unwed mothers called “Veronica’s Home of Mercy. Father Barry also has a special ministry for the homeless.

    “The Pope Answers” is a documentary recording of an unprecedented face-to face, no-holds barred meeting and conversation between ten young people from around the world and Pope Francis. The pope listens as they speak of the main concerns of their generation, and honestly answers their questions regarding church teaching and action with respect issues of migration, sexuality, gender identity and religious freedom. Join us for the screening, followed immediately by a conversation about the film’s spiritual themes. Light refreshments are, of course, included!

    Please join us for the First Friday All Night Vigil dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows on Friday September 6th 2024. The evening will start with confessions at 8:00 PM followed by the Holy Mass at 9:00 PM. After Mass there will be exposition of the Most Holy Eucharist, a teaching on Our Lady of Sorrows, Confessions throughout the night, Sacred Heart & Precious Blood Devotions, Special First Friday Prayers, Litanies, Stations of the Cross, Scriptural Rosaries & Blessed Mother Devotions, Sung Chaplets, Quiet Moments of Adoration, Beautiful Hymns and other devotions to the Saints of September will be prayed throughout the night.

    There will be FREE refreshments at Midnight and at 3:30 AM and the vigil concludes with a 5:00 AM Closing Holy Mass.
