When preparing to attend the NYS Eucharistic Congress, please consider the following steps:
Register
Secure your spot by registering here. Even though this congress is free (donations welcomed), registration will close once capacity is reached.
Tip: You should fill out “the parish group registration option” but also gather separately crucial information about your attendees, such as full names, email addresses, phone numbers, food allergies, or other relevant health conditions for your knowledge and records.
Tip: If minors are coming, ensure that their parents or guardians are always responsible for them. Children and infants are welcome to attend the Eucharistic Congress, but childcare won’t be provided.
Book accommodations
Book accommodations if staying overnight. Here is a list of the closest hotels.
Tip: consider reserving a block of rooms for a discounted price. Many hotels offer this option for groups.
Reserve transportation
If you don’t have a van or similar that can accommodate all your attendees, consider these options:
– Book a bus trip with Institutional Commodity Services (ICS). This institution serves the Church with many products and services, including transportation. Prices range between $5000 – $6000 for the entire journey. For more details click here. Get a quote for your trip here.
– Get tickets from Greyhound bus company, which travels from New York Port Authority to Amsterdam, New York (15 minutes from the conference) for less than $100 per person round trip. Buy your tickets here.
Arrange for food
Make the necessary food arrangements. Food and beverages will be on sale from vendors on-site, and bringing your own is allowed. Choose what works best for your parish.
– Have your participants buy/bring their food.
– Prepare a budget to provide food for your participants.
Pray
Prepare yourself and your parishioners for a one-of-a-kind experience by opening your hearts through prayer. Printed Eucharistic Revival prayer cards are available upon request from our office.
