Cathedral Prep is a weekend retreat program for high school age young men who are looking to learn more about the priesthood, grow in their relationship with Christ, and have a desire to serve the Church.

Our motto is “IN SPEM ECCLESIAE,” which means “hope of the Church.” Cathedral Prep was founded on the belief that God works through young people and will bring about a revitalization of our Church through the witness and leadership of the young men who are part of this program.
This program seeks to help form young men as disciples of Jesus, through spiritual formation and fraternity. It helps participants learn about the vocation to the priesthood and God’s particular call for them. Cathedral Prep offers the following:
Curious about life as a Capuchin? Make the time and space to hear God’s voice at a Come & See Discernment Retreat. Men ages 21-40 join to experience Capuchin fraternity, sharing meals, prayer, contemplation, and learning about the charisms while connecting with God, friars, and other men discerning their vocation.

Night of Hope
Join us on the first Friday of the month for a Night of Hope, a night of grace, healing, and renewal with Bishop Gerardo Colacicco!
Doors open at 6 PM for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, followed by Holy Mass at 7 PM. After Mass, experience an encounter with the Lord through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, continued confessions, and inspiring worship music.

Father Ed Dougherty grew up in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. He became a Maryknoll mission priest more than 40 years ago, and he has served in the U.S., in Tanzania and in Rome. He is a former Superior General of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. The 107-year-old Catholic Foreign Mission Society of America, more popularly known as the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, follows Jesus in serving people in need in more than 20 countries. First Friday All-Night Vigil In Honor of the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Please join us on First Friday, November 7th, for an All-Night Vigil offered in loving prayer and reparation for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. This sacred night is dedicated to interceding for those who have gone before us and are being purified before entering the glory of Heaven.
Schedule of the Evening:
7:00 PM Adoration
8:00 PM – Confessions
9:00 PM – Holy Mass (offered for the Holy Souls)
Followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Reflection on the Church’s teaching on Purgatory and the power of intercessory prayer. Continued Eucharistic Adoration throughout the night
Overnight Devotions Will Include:
Sacred Heart and Precious Blood devotions (First Friday)
Prayers for Priests and Seminarians
Holy Face Prayers and Precious Blood of Jesus Devotions
Prayers for the Holy Souls in Purgatory
