  • Haciendo Caminos: A Retreat for All Saints and All Souls

Fordham University, Rose Hill Campus Flom Auditorium, Walsh Family Library, Bronx, NY, United States

Haciendo Caminos: A Retreat for All Saints and All Souls

This month, the Graduate School of Education and Haciendo Caminos is inviting the Fordham community to gather, and remember.

Haciendo Caminos: A Retreat for All Saints and All Souls will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 2 to 5 p.m. The program begins with a presentation in McShane 260, followed by a 3:30 p.m. Mass celebrated by Francis X. McAloon, S.J. (M.Div., STL, Ph.D.), with Pan de Muertos and hot chocolate served afterward.

Rooted in Latino Catholic traditions, the retreat provides space to pray, reflect, and sit with memory. Through story, music, and silence, participants will contemplate the feasts of All Saints and All Souls, and the people whose lives continue to influence their own.

The retreat will be led by Natalia Imperatori-Lee, Ph.D., a Fordham graduate and associate professor of theology. Her work focuses on feminist and Latinx theologies and the ways women claim credibility, both inside and outside the Church. She’s written for Commonweal, America, and The Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion, and is the author of Cuéntame and Women and the Church.

The event also highlights Fordham’s partnership with Haciendo Caminos, a national initiative to support Latino Catholics who are exploring lives of service, ministry, and education. Fordham is among 18 institutions nationwide helping to develop the next generation of leaders.

All are welcome. To attend, please RSVP to Luz Marina Díaz, Ph.D. at aludiaz@fordham.edu.
