On August 14, the prayers and readings for the Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time should be used at all regularly scheduled parish Masses. In the evening, the Vigil Mass for the Assumption may be celebrated at Masses other than the usual Sunday evening Mass. On August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption is not a holy day of obligation this year, as it falls on a Monday.
