The Lifeline provides 24-hour, confidential support to anyone in need. Call 911 in life-threatening situations. If you are concerned about a friend’s social media updates, you can contact safety teams at the social media company. They will reach out to connect the person with the help they need.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: an organization that raises awareness, funds scientific research and provides resources and aid to those affected by suicide
National Institute of Mental Health – Suicide Prevention: the leading federal agency for research on mental disorders
ADAPP Suicide Prevention: a training series that provides information and action steps to prevent youth suicide
LivingWorks Faith – New York State: an online program that empowers Christian Faith leaders to increase safety from suicide and minister to those who have experienced suicide loss
Parish Counseling Network: short-term and crisis counseling; referrals can be made by pastors or designated parish staff. Parishioners are eligible for a maximum of six counseling sessions with a $10 co-pay per session.
Solace House: provides free, confidential, therapeutic counseling for anyone who is experiencing suicidal thoughts or suicidal distress, as well as those who engage in self-harm, or have been bereaved by suicide.
Red Bird Ministries: offers support and resources for healing for individuals navigating suicide loss. The Remember program provides faith-centered support, healing, and community for those carrying the weight of loss.
