The U.S. Catholic bishops and my fine colleagues on these blog pages have had and will have much to say about the recent executive order from the White House, which defies any sense of decency.  When I learned about it early Saturday morning, I thought of this painting in the collection of the Boston Fine Arts Museum. It portrays Jewish refugees, who had to leave their home in a rush because their child’s life was in danger. They were able to find refuge in a foreign land. n
