Recognizing the need for a comprehensive training program for pastoral musicians, the Office of Liturgy, in conjunction with St. Joseph’s Seminary, is announcing the formation of an academy for pastoral musicians who serve in the Archdiocese.  Beginning in the fall of 2014, the St. Cecilia Academy will offer a four course, fully accredited academic program through St. Joseph’s Seminary for the purpose of training qualified musicians in the history, theology, and pastoral principles of liturgy and sacred music.  Discounted tuition rates will be offered to musicians who are sponsored by their parishes.  More information to be announced in the coming months.
