The first annual Guardian Mass of the Archdiocese of New York and the Diocese of Brooklyn will take place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 12pm. The Guardian Mass will honor the men and women of New York City agencies, both local and federal, who work to ensure the safety of the people of New York. The Mass will commemorate the great sacrifices made by the courageous men and women who gave their lives for the greater good of our city and its people.
 
The principal celebrant and homilist will be Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York. He will be joined by The Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, who will serve as the principal concelebrant of the Mass. The Chaplains of New York City safety agencies will also concelebrate the Mass.
