PRAYER SERVICE FOR MEXICANS WHO SUCCUMBED TO COVID 19
(New York, NY) Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will lead a prayer service at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00AM to bless the ashes of those Mexicans who have died from the corona virus. The cremated remains will then be transported to Mexico for burial.
The Consul General of Mexico, Jorge Islas Lopez, has helped to organize the prayer service, to pray for those who died during the pandemic and could not have a funeral Mass and burial.
The Catholic Church shows care and reverence for the earthly remains of those who have died by insuring a proper, dignified repose of earthly remains. This is so important that it is considered to be one of the Corporal Works.
SERVICIO DE ORACIÓN PARA LOS MEXICANOS QUE SUCUMBIERON A COVID 19
(Nueva York, NY) El Cardenal Timothy Dolan, Arzobispo de Nueva York, dirigirá un servicio de oración en la Catedral de San Patricio el sábado 11 de julio del 2020 a las 11:00 de la mañana para bendecir las cenizas de los mexicanos que han muerto por la corona virus. Los restos cremados serán transportados a México para su entierro.
El Cónsul General de México, Jorge Islas López, ha ayudado a organizar el servicio de oración, para rezar por aquellos que murieron durante la pandemia y no pudieron celebrar una Misa fúnebre y un entierro.
La Iglesia Católica muestra cuidado y reverencia por los restos terrenales de aquellos que han muerto asegurando un reposo digno y adecuado de los restos terrenales. Esto es tan importante que se considera una de las Obras Corporales de la Misericordia.
