This memorial appears on the Universal Calendar of the Church.  While proper liturgical texts for this celebration have been promulgated in Latin and Italian, English and Spanish translations are still being prepared at this time.  Until these texts are published, the prayers from the Common of Pastors: For a Pope may be used.  Either the readings of the day or the proper readings assigned for Saint John XIII (taken from the Common of Pastors in volumes II, III, and IV of the Lectionary) may be used at Mass:

-Responsorial Psalm – Psalm 23:1-3a, 4, 5, 6 (no. 721-2)

-Gospel Acclamation – John 10:14 (no. 723-5)
