There will be a Mass in honor of the Divine Child Jesus on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cathedral. The Mass is organized by the Committee of the Divine Child Jesus and brings together the Colombian community of the Archdiocese of New York for an afternoon of devotion and prayer, three days prior to Pope Francis' scheduled visit to Colombia on September 6, 2017. Pope Francis' visit marks the third official visit by a pontiff to Colombia; and the first since Pope John Paul II in 1986

For centuries, the Divine Child has been a symbol of peace, hope, healing, and comfort to Catholics in Colombia and throughout the world. This Mass offers Catholics of all cultures the opportunity to gather in prayer for this ancient devotion. The principal celebrant will be Bishop Emeritus Alfonso Cabezas of the Archdiocese of Villavicencio, Colombia. He will be accompanied by ten concelebrants, including the Rector of Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Monsignor Robert T. Ritchie, and Chair of the Committee of the Divine Child Jesus for the Archdiocese of New York, Reverend Fredy Patiño. The Mass will be said in Spanish

St. Patrick's Cathedral is located on 51nst Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. All are welcome.

Habrá una Misa en honor al Divino Niño Jesús el domingo, 3 de septiembre de 2017 a las 4:00 p.m. en la Catedral de San Patricio. La Misa es organizada por el Comité del Divino Niño Jesús y reúne a la comunidad colombiana de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York para una tarde de devoción y oración, tres días antes de la visita del Papa Francisco a Colombia el 6 de septiembre del 2017. La visita del Papa Francisco marca la tercera visita oficial de un pontífice a Colombia; y la primera desde el Papa Juan Pablo II en 1986

Durante siglos, el Divino Niño ha sido un símbolo de paz, esperanza, sanación y consuelo para la comunidad colombiana y los católicos mundialmente. Esta misa ofrece a los católicos de todas las culturas la oportunidad de reunirse en oración por esta antigua devoción. El celebrante principal será el Obispo Emérito Alfonso Cabezas, C.M. de la Arquidiócesis de Villavicencio, Colombia. El Obispo será acompañado por diez concelebrantes, entre ellos el Rector de la Catedral de San Patricio, Monseñor Robert T. Ritchie, y el Presidente del Comité del Divino Niño Jesús para la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York, el Reverendo Fredy Patiño
