As the dedicated women and men who lead and teach in our parish religious education programs can tell you, summer is not a time to vacation from the ministry. Many directors and coordinators of religious education, along with their catechists, offer vacation Bible schools and other catechetical activities for the parish’s children, who are off from school.
Others use this time, when their parish programs are on hiatus, to increase their own theological knowledge, sharpen their teaching skills, and deepen their own spirituality.
To provide for our directors/coordinators of religious education and catechists, as well for those involved in the parish Catechumenate (RCIA), the Archdiocesan Catechetical Office offers formation courses and other enrichment opportunities all year round.
If you are in the ministry, why not take a few minutes to peruse the
Catechetical Office Website
and see what’s on. Not in the ministry? Take a look anyway. You’ll find the latest news from the Church along with resources to enrich you.
