January 20 | March for Life | Respect Life Office

As we approach the 50th annual March for Life, we are at a critical moment in history that demands a new vision. Let’s return to the heart of the matter.  The fall of Roe is not the end.

Why do we March? Because love is the answer. Because every human person is made in God’s image. Because our world is crying out for healing. We need each other. Let’s renew our commitment to love.

Here is a listing of Bus Pilgrimages from the Archdiocese of New York.

Are your parishioners attending the March for Life? Consider giving the Blessing of Pro-Life Pilgrims before (or after) their journey.

January 22 & 23 | Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children | Respect Life Office

Although Roe is gone, the need for prayer for the legal protection of unborn children continues and the official USCCB designated “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children” remains. It is transferred to Monday Jan 23 this year because Jan 22 falls on a Sunday. However, since Sunday, Jan 22nd, 2023, will mark the 50th anniversary of the egregious Roe decision, it would seem to be an appropriate moment in the Sunday liturgy to thank God for its overturning and to commemorate the lives that have been lost, and continue to be lost here in New York.

The USCCB has provided some Homily Helps for this occasion. As well as intercessions, announcements and more in the Respect Life January Action Guide
