September 23 – Sun Sept 25 | Worldwide Marriage Encounter | Family Life Office

Worldwide Marriage Encounter (www.wwme.org) offers an opportunity to learn from couples who are willing to share their personal journeys and tools for reclaiming the spark and living in love together. Even when a marriage is going smoothly, there are always opportunities to make it work better. Just as driving a car without routine maintenance can lead to problems, your marriage* needs attention to stay on track. The Marriage Encounter experience is a skill-building enrichment where together, you can learn to be the best, most loving and thriving couple you can be. Make the time to come closer together and learn the tools to keep nurturing your love. *Faithful to the Roman Catholic Church’s definition that marriage is a covenant that exists between one man and one woman, any reference to “marriage” or “couple” made by Worldwide Marriage Encounter is in this context.

February 2-11, 2023 | Priest Retreat to the Holy Land | Archdiocese of New York

My brother priests:

Our last pilgrimage to Portugal and Spain in February 2019 seems like a distant memory. Little did we know that one year later the world would be facing a pandemic and we would take on unimaginable challenges to our priestly ministry. But we persevered through several months of lockdown doing whatever was humanly possible, and not without divine asistance, to maintain a connectedness to our parishes and communities. In the wake of so much suffering and difficulties, I’d like to think Jesus is inviting us, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” Recall that it was also in the Holy Land where the Lord would often withdraw from the work of His Father for some peace and solitude. I hope we might do the same.

Fraternally in Christ,

Timothy Cardinal Dolan
