Development Office | St. Patrick’s Cathedral Landmark Restoration
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I’m pleased to share updates from the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Landmark Restoration, an extraordinary undertaking to preserve “America’s parish church” for generations to come. Thanks to the altruism of thousands of benefactors – including individual donors, corporations, foundations, and clergy – we have raised a phenomenal $183,000,000+. We are working diligently to secure the final $25,000,000 to complete the project expenses.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the Landmark Restoration campaign has been our naming opportunities to commemorate a loved one, celebrate a family’s commitment to architectural preservation, or exhibit the shared values of a corporation or foundation’s mission to preserve the planet by supporting our geothermal plant.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions ([email protected] or 646.794.2294).

Respect Life Office | Pray for Dobbs | 22nd of each Month
In 2018 Mississippi passed a law protecting unborn children after 15 weeks of gestation. The law was challenged and the case, called Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, has gone to the Supreme Court. This is truly a landmark case that could potentially overturn the decision of Roe v Wade. The Justices are now preparing their decision which is expected to be announced in June 2022.
Christians of all denominations are uniting in prayer and fasting for this vital intention. The following is our Archdiocesan response to the USCCB to join this national effort www.prayfordobbs.com.
For the past 49 years, the infamous date of January 22 has been one of solemn prayer and remembrance for the tragedy of legalized abortion in this country. From until June 2022, we hope to make the 22nd of each month a special day of prayer and fasting for the Dobbs case, in the hopes that on its 50th anniversary (Jan 22, 2023) Roe v Wade will have been finally overturned.
We need your help.
- Called to Pray: We ask that you consider celebrating your already scheduled morning Mass as the Mass for Giving Thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life in the Roman Missal on the 22nd of each Month (until June). We also encourage your parish to organize special Holy Hours, Masses, or Prayer Vigils for Life on these days. Resources for Mass, Holy Hours, Rosaries, Intercessions and other Prayers for life can be found on the Respect Life Office website.
- Invite Others: We ask that you help promote this prayer campaign through your parish bulletin, Mass announcements, and bulletin boards. Download the flyer in English and Spanish.
More information about the Archdiocesan Pray for Dobbs campaign can be found here.
