Cultural Diversity Apostolate – Hispanic Ministry: Hispanic Catholic Charismatic Center: Retreats in Spanish during Lent
Lent’s call to conversion and renewal resonates so emphatically with the Spanish-speaking faithful that the Hispanic Catholic Charismatic Center’s best-attended season for weekend retreats every year is “la Cuaresma”. Each weekend’s retreat during Lent costs $120 per person (which includes lodging and all meals), stays fully in compliance with COVID-protection guidelines, includes Confessions and Mass, is run entirely at the Centro’s newly renovated Bronx location, and is open for registration online at centrobronx.com. All retreats are entirely in Spanish with the exception of the teenage retreats, which are fully bilingual. Group discounts are available at all retreats.
This Lent’s journey at the Centro begins and ends with “Primer Paso” basic conversion retreats for adults 18+ (March 4-6 and April 8-10), includes the standard Centro retreats for teenagers (ages 13-17, March 18-20) and couples (April 1-3), plus a healing retreat entitled “Sanados por su Sangre” for those who have already done retreats (March 11-13) and a men-only retreat (March 25-27) ahead of the women-only retreat on Divine Mercy Weekend (April 22-24).
The full calendar is always available at centrobronx.com/events, the latest social distancing requirements are at centrobronx.com/COVID, and priests are warmly invited to get in touch directly via centrobronx.com/contact-us or by phone at (718) 378-1734 to request posters or promotional materials or to share any questions or feedback. “¡Ven, Espíritu Santo!”
