Join us for our monthly Young Adult Mass! Adoration and Confessions will be available from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Our celebrant is Fr. Louis Masi. Salem Farmand will provide music. Mass begins at 7:30 p.m. Social to follow at Connolly’s Pub and Restaurant, 14 E. 47th Street.

Please see the attached flyer that contains three additional meeting opportunities. If you did not have the opportunity to attend or ask your parish leaders to attend, please consider doing so in January. You will learn about upcoming initiatives that will assist in our service to families in the Archdiocese of New York. Some outcomes of past meetings include:
- The need for concrete ways to assist families to grow as the domestic or home Church
- Opportunities for small faith sharing groups to be formed or enhanced
- Create or continue to enliven an environment where all members of the family feel welcomed in the parish
- More opportunities to accompany couples who plan to marry as well as those who are already married
- Dedicated resources for those families with members who are suffering or feel neglected

Father Myles Murphy, pastor of Our Lady of Victory/St. Andrew in the financial district of Manhattan is inviting all priests for an evening of fraternity on Wednesday, January 25 at 4:00 pm at a private room at Rory Dolan’s Restaurant Bar, 890 McClean Avenue, Yonkers. January 28 | Retreat Day for Catholic Teachers and Staff Working in Public Schools | Youth Faith Formation Office

The Department of Youth Faith Formation sponsors a yearly retreat for those Catholics teaching and working in public schools. This retreat is a chance to recognize and support those who teach and work with our children throughout the archdiocese daily. They serve as evangelizers for our young ones and their families. February 11 | Edge Training Day | Youth Faith Formation Office

Come experience and learn how dynamic catechetical resources, small group mentoring, and a fun, safe place can help youth people get answers to their unanswered questions. Edge is a middle school catechetical youth ministry program that will help young people experience Jesus Christ in a profound, personal way and to find a solid Catholic community in the life of the parish.
February 12 | World Marriage Day and Longest-Married Couple Search | Family Life Office

In the new document from the Vatican’s Dicastery of Laity, Family, and Life Catechumenal Pathways for Married Life, we read, “The task of accompanying couples is the duty of the entire ecclesial community, which embarks on a journey shared by priests, Christian spouses, and pastoral workers. The celebration of married life is to be a priority for each member of the ecclesial community. This January, we will begin the development of a marriage catechumenate to assist in this important mission.
To begin this endeavor, plans for World Marriage Day, celebrated this coming year on February 12, 2023, are presently underway. Please note the attached flyers (English and Spanish) and the bulletin/web site announcement. I urge you to promote the Masses that will be celebrated throughout the Archdiocese s well as the Longest Married Couples Search. Our bi-annual New York Catholic Bible Summit will be held on June 3, 2023. The theme of the conference is “Spirit and Life” (John 6:63) and will focus on the Eucharist in the spirit of the Eucharistic Revival. We are happy to announce that Dr. Brant Pitre from the Augustine Institute will be one of our keynote speakers. The day will include times of prayer, dynamic teachings, fellowship, and, most importantly, Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. More information to come!
