Adult Faith Formation: Rite of Election
His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan invites those catechumens (the unbaptized) who participated in their parish Catechumenate (RCIA) process and are ready to celebrate the three sacraments of Christian initiation this coming Easter Vigil to formally celebrate the Archdiocesan Rite of Election on the First Sunday of Lent, March 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
Cultural Diversity Apostolate – Black Ministry: Black History Month Mass
Join us at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the Office of Black Ministry Annual Archdiocesan Black History Month Mass and Observance of the National Day of Prayer for the African American and African Family. This year’s Mass will acknowledge and celebrate the important role of women in our families, church, and community.
Be a part of the Mass – join the Charles Barbour/Dolores Jefferson Memorial Combined Choir! Members must be able to attend at least three rehearsals.
Cultural Diversity Apostolate – Black Ministry: Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Fund
The Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Fund (PTSF) and Program is administered by the Archdiocese of New York, Office of Black Ministry. The PTSF provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors of diverse backgrounds from public, private, and parochial schools throughout the Archdiocese of New York, to assist them with the educational fees and expenses associated with their college studies.

Just a reminder that the annual Marriage Prep booklets, which are normally printed and sent to each parish during November or December, are being scheduled to arrive at your parish in early February 2020.

The Family Life Office has launched the final phase of the Spanish Marriage Preparation registration system that was planned for the full unification of the English and Spanish MP programs.

Respect Life: March for Life
Join thousands from around the country for the March for Life on Friday, January 24, 2020. Buses will be traveling to DC from all over the archdiocese.
Respect Life: Oppose Assisted Suicide
Legislation has been introduced in the New York State Legislature that would allow doctors to legally prescribe a lethal dose of pills at the request of a terminally ill patient. This legislation is unnecessary, flawed, and dangerous.

Love and Responsibility returns for a bonus Winter addition on Thursday, February 20. Helen Alvaré, George Mason University law professor, will be our guest speaker. She will be speaking about elements for having a reasonable pro-life debate. This event is free and open to the public.

Youth Faith Formation – Catechetical: The Fourth Annual Professional Day
Pastors, priests, deacons, seminarians, and directors and coordinators of religious education, RCIA, and youth ministry are invited to the Fourth Annual Professional Day, sponsored by the Catechetical Office in conjunction with the Offices of Priest Personnel, the Catechumenate, and Youth Ministry.
