Media Credential Site Now Open for
Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner
Online Applications for Coverage of the 79th Annual Dinner Available until October 7, 2024
September 25, 2024 (NEW YORK) – Media wishing to cover the 79th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in person must apply for a credential using the online portal now available at – https://alsmithdinner.org/. Applications DO NOT guarantee approval for a credential given the limitations of space at the New York Hilton Midtown where the event will be held.
The dinner is scheduled for Thursday, October 17, 2024. The event will be hosted by His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York. 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump is the featured speaker with Comedian Jim Gaffigan serving as the dinner’s emcee.
All media organization representatives including journalists, photographers, camera persons and technicians must be credentialed to attend this event. Anyone wishing to cover the dinner must submit an application for a press credential by Monday, October 7, 2024, at 4:00 PM ET.

Credentials will be issued to journalists at the discretion of the Archdiocese of New York and the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation. Approved applicants will be notified with instructions for picking up credentials on the day of the dinner.

Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner has brought together an audience of civic, economic, and cultural leaders from across the political spectrum for a night of non-partisan good humor and generosity. Presided over by Cardinal Dolan, speakers at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner often share self-deprecating humor as well as timely messages about the moral imperative of the Foundation’s mission.
The 79th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner will take place Thursday, October 17, in the Grand Ballroom, New York Hilton Midtown, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York, New York, 10019.
