is the featured film for February in the 2016-2017 International Film Festival sponsored by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. It will be shown Friday, February 17, 7:30 p.m. at the Maryknoll, Society Center, 55 Ryder Road in Ossining. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
is a 1993 U.S. film from director Nancy Savoca. The film explores family dynamics and the relationship between religious faith in miracles and modernity in the lives of three generations of Italian-American women in the last-half of the 20th century.
The film festival provides nine monthly offerings on Friday evenings from September to May. The current series, Life through Death: Changes in Perception, includes an introduction by a Maryknoll missioner and a brief discussion after the screening.
