In this presentation, Sr. Hosea helps us be open to God’s transformative and loving power through the richness of the Lenten Season and its practices. Includes a look at what the Church proposes for Lent and suggested ways we can more fully enter into the spirit of Lent.
Sister Hosea Rupprecht, FSP, is a member of the Daughters of St. Paul, a religious community dedicated to evangelization with media. She holds a Masters of Theological Studies from the University of St. Michael’s College and an MA in Media Literacy from Webster University. Hosea is regional director of the Pauline Center for Media Studies based in New York, author of How to Watch Movies With Kids: A Values-Based Strategy, film critic, and former co-host of the Catholic TV movie review show, Searchlight. For the past 20 years, she has facilitated various film dialogues for both children and adults, as well as given presentations on integrating culture, faith and media on the parish, diocesan, and national levels
