This retreat offers a combination of daily workshops, discussions, brief writing assignments and a quiet space to focus on your work free of distraction. Whether you are a new, emerging, or experienced writer, and whether your writing is for personal journals or publication, writers of all levels are welcome. The retreat offers support, inspiration, and guidance.

Each morning, you’ll participate in a writing workshop with prompts for motivation and discussions of technical and creative issues. Afternoons are free to read, explore the idyllic surroundings, work on existing projects or on brief daily writing assignments. In the evening, you’ll reconvene with the group for discussions of writing topics, including different approaches to writing memoir. When we gather in a supportive community, we make important breakthroughs in our daily life and in our writing. The retreat begins with dinner on Thurs. at 6pm and ends with lunch on Sunday around 1pm.
