CARDINAL DOLAN, ARCHBISHOP GUDZIAK, TO LEAD PRAYER SERVICE ON FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF WAR IN UKRAINE
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, and Archbishop Borys Gudziak, Ukrainian Catholic Archbishop of Philadelphia, will lead a prayer service to mark the first anniversary of the war in Ukraine on Saturday, February 18, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan.
Among those expected to join Cardinal Dolan and Archbishop Gudziak will be Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio (Vatican Ambassador) to the United States, Archbishop Gabriel Caccia, Apostolic Nuncio to the United Nations, Metropolitan Antony of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA—Eastern Eparchy, and Bishop Daniel of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA.
It is also anticipated that some Ukrainian soldiers who were wounded in the war will attend.
The Dumka Choir will sing during the service; the hymns will be in Ukrainian. The spoken parts of the service will be in English.
