Meet real priests and seminarians, ask questions, and explore New York from a Catholic perspective through pilgrimages and field trips. No pressure — just good information and opportunities for fraternity and prayer. Join us for one weekend every other month at St. Joseph’s Seminary.

    $40 per person, includes all wine tasting and assorted appetizers.

    Tickets are required. Seating is limited. Tickets available at the Assumption Church Rectory, 131 Union Avenue, Peekskill, NY, 10566. Tickets will also be sold in the Church vestibule after each Mass the weekend of April 20/21.

    Let It Begin With Trees
    In honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day, the Laudato Si Circle at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi is hosting a community-wide event.

    Saturday, April 27th 10am – 1pm
    St. Francis House – Clare Room
    135 West 31st Street

    Come learn about the social, emotional, and environmental benefits that our NYC trees provide and how to care for the trees in your neighborhood.

    This event will be both indoors and outdoors. First, we will gather for a presentation about how to care for trees in our neighborhoods. After the talk we will head outside in teams to get hands-on experience by taking care of trees right on this block.

    We will provide coffee, work gloves, shovels, and essential items for the street tree cleanup but we would encourage you to bring your own gloves and tools if you have them.

    This event will be held rain or shine, so dress appropriately, comfortably, and be prepared to get a little dirty.

    It’s FREE and open to all but will be limited to 50 people so advance registration is required. Registration will close when we reach capacity or at the end of day Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
