ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW YORK LAUNCHES NEW CELEBRATIONS OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE AND SAINT JUAN DIEGO
The Archdiocese of New York in collaboration with Casa Puebla New York will launch its new 7 day event commemorating the Feasts of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Juan Diego.  A newly crafted statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the images of Saint Juan Diego and the Tilma (Cloak) will travel to various parishes throughout the Archdiocese of New York.  Father Fredy Patino, the Chair of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Advisory Council for Hispanic Ministry said, "We invite everyone to take part of the celebrations that will unite the parishes and the people of the Archdiocese of New York where even for one day we can all be Guadalupanos and continue to cultivate Marian devotion in all of the communities of the Archdiocese of New York to keep the Marian spirit alive."  Father Santiago Rubio, the new Spiritual Director of the Archdiocesan Committee of Our Lady of Guadalupe said, "It is our hope these new events are going to be a motivation, a call to conversion.  The most important thing is we are looking at providing a more consistent spiritual effort."

The celebrations will begin in Newburgh on December 6, 2014, and conclude on December 12, 2014, in Manhattan.  The following parishes will host venerations, novenas and Mass celebrations upon the arrival of the statue and images.
