We congratulate the many baptized candidates from the parishes around the Archdiocese of New York, that celebrated the Rite of Calling the Candidates to Continuing Conversion this 2024 Lenten season.
We thank everyone who has assisted our candidates in their sacramental preparation. It is a great testimony to the work of the Holy Spirit within our many parish communities throughout the Archdiocese of New York.
And so, to show his ongoing pastoral support and concern for our Candidates, His Eminence, Cardinal Timothy Dolan invites all Archdiocesan Neophytes and newly confirmed RCIA candidates and newly received to the annual Archdiocesan Neophyte Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on the sixth Sunday of Easter, May 5, 2024 at 10:15am.

May we continue to pray for our candidates as they journey through this Lenten season.
May our candidates come to a deeper appreciation of their baptism into Christ’ death and resurrection.
May our candidates embrace the discipline of Lent as a means of purification and approach the sacrament of reconciliation with trust in God’s mercy.
May their teachers and sponsors be living examples of the Gospel.
…and may their fellow parishioners, families and friends continue to help them follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
