CARDINAL DOLAN LEADS PRAYER SERVICE IN REMEMBRANCE OF CHRISTIAN MARTYRS OF AFRICA

Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will lead Solemn Evening Prayers in memory and remembrance of the Christian martyrs of Africa tonight, Monday, June 29, at 6:00 PM at Holy Family Church (47th Street between 2nd and 1st Avenue)

The cardinal is expected to be joined by Archbishop Bernardito Auza, papal nuncio to the United Nations; Archbishop Charles Balvo, papal nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan, and a native New Yorker; Bishop David of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of New York and New England; Reverend A.R. Bernard of the Christian Cultural Center (CCC); Rev. Morris Gurley of the Council of Churches of the City of New York; Rabbi Noam E. Marans, of the American Jewish Committee; Imam Al-Hajj Talib 'Abdur-Rashid of the Mosque of Islamic Brotherhood Inc. and, NYPD Assistant Chief James Secreto, Chief of Housing for New York City
