CARDINAL DOLAN LEADS ANNUAL CATHOLIC CHARITIES DISTRIBUTION OF  THANKSGIVING MEALS

Timothy Cardinal Dolan will lead the annual Catholic Charities distribution of Thanksgiving Meals to more than 400 needy New Yorkers on Tuesday, November 20th beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Lt. Kennedy Community Center at 34 West 134th Street in Harlem.  He will call attention to the plight of the hungry throughout the year and announce the 2013 Feeding Our Neighbors campaign to replenish New York’s stretched food pantries and soup kitchens.

This year, UJA-Federation of New York will join with Catholic Charities to make Feeding Our Neighbors 2013 an interfaith campaign on behalf of New York’s hungry.  John S. Ruskay, executive vice president and CEO of UJA-Federation of New York will join Cardinal Dolan and Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, executive director of Catholic Charities, for this announcement.

Florence D’Urso will be honored in memoriam for her extraordinary generosity and service at the Annual Thanksgiving Meal Distribution Program.
