The Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York would like to thank the Barry family, who donated to the School of the Blessed Sacrament in Manhattan. How City Catholic Schools are adjusting to a new normal: As week two of the successful reopening comes to a close for the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York, Pix 11 visited Immaculate Conception School on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx to see how school leaders and families are adjusting to the “new normal.” From advanced cleaning procedures, to spaced out desks and additional technology for remote learners, the crew documented how Catholic schools are rising to the challenge of bringing students back into the classroom. Schools: Letter from Superintendent of Schools

Since September, our schools have been open and operating safely and efficiently. Thank you for your support in ensuring our guidelines for health and safety have been followed. Every person in our extended Catholic schools’ community has the responsibility to observe social distancing and wear a mask. This is what will keep the doors to our schools open; this is what will continue to keep everyone at our Catholic schools safe and healthy. Our principals, teachers and health aides have rigorously enforced health and safety protocols in our schools.

We are sending this email as a stark reminder COVID protocols do not end at the end of the school day and or take the weekends off!

Schools: TACHS Tests

The Office of the Superintendent of Schools has a very important, time-sensitive message about the TACHS Exam for all Parish Religious Education (CCD) 8th grade students and their families. The letters include a link to a wonderful video promoting Catholic high schools featuring testimonials from some of our outstanding high school students, which we invite you to view. Please deliver these letters to your Directors of Religious Education and ask them to send to 8th grade families right away!
