Details: A Thousand Clowns will be the featured film for December in the 2014-2015 International Film Festival sponsored by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. It will be shown Friday, December 19, 7:30 p.m. at the Maryknoll Mission Center, 55 Ryder Road in Ossining. Everyone is welcome and admission is free. A Thousand Clowns is a 1965 U.S. film from director Fred Coe. The film is about a middle-aged heretic, avoiding the tedium of employment and conventional life and facing the prospect of losing custody of his young ward. The film festival provides nine monthly offerings on Friday evenings from September to April. The current series, Life through Death: In Black and White, includes an introduction by a Maryknoll missioner and a brief discussion after the screening.
